How to Play

If you are not familiar with the game, the good news is the Red Dog poker is perhaps one of the easiest poker games to learn. The whole concept of game is simple. Two cards are dealt and the player then places a wager on the type of card that falls in-between the two already dealt. The table setup consists of a single poker table with the dealer located at the top of the screen and the player at the bottom of the screen. The spread and paytable is displayed in the middle of the table. There are three main game buttons, namely the deal button, the raise button and the call button.

Starting the Game

A game of begins by placing your bet on the table. You can increase or decrease your bet by clicking on the up and down arrows located at the bottom of the screen. The minimum bet is 1 coin while the maximum bet is 50 coins to start the game. Once you bet has been placed, you can click on the deal button.

The dealer will then deal two cards face up with a space between the two cards. Depending on the value of the two cards, a spread is given for the third card. If the first card is a 2 and the second card is a 7, there are four possible numbers/cards that will fall between these two numbers. Therefore, the spread is 4.

The Spread and Paytable

In Red Dog poker, any spread from 4 to 11 pays out even money. A spread of 1 pays 5:1, a spread of 2 pays 4:1 and a spread of 3 pays 2:1. If the two cards dealt match, the hand is a push. If all three cards match, you will win 11 times your total bet.

Once the two cards have been dealt, you can choose to stick with your original bet or raise the bet to double the amount. If the spread is low, it is best to call, if the spread is high, it is best to raise. The dealer will then deal the third card and the game will pay out according to the spread.
