Casino War

Casino War is a great card game, as exciting and entertaining as it is easy to learn to play. The best versions of it are, of course, available at Mummys Gold Casino and you can get in on the action whenever you please!

Casino War Basics

Casino War is played with 6 decks of cards, and the standard Poker hand rankings are used. The only difference is that Aces are high, no matter what the suit. When you’re playing online you’ll usually be going against the Dealer alone. To start the round, you’ll need to place your bet and then you and the Dealer will each get a single card. Your card is then compared with the Dealer’s. If it’s higher you win the round and if it’s lower you lose. In the event of a tie you can choose to Surrender and forfeit half of your bet, or to Go to War. If you choose to Go to War you need to Raise your bet by matching your original stake. The Dealer will then Burn 3 cards, and then another card is given to both your hand and the Dealer’s hand. If your second card is equal to or higher than the Dealer’s you win even money on the Raise, while the original bet is Pushed. If it’s less, you lose both bets. The House Edge in the game comes into play if you Go to War; you either win a single unit, or you lose 2.

Casino War Strategy

The more you play and enjoy Casino War at Mummys Gold, the more your understanding an appreciation of the game will grow. You’ll get more pleasure out of playing, and you’re likely to win a lot more money. While you’re developing your own insights and strategies, however, there are a few basic pointers to remember. First of all, it’s a good idea to always Go to War rather than Surrendering when your hand ties with the Dealer’s. Going to War gives the House an edge of 2.88%, while always surrendering carries a House Edge of almost 4%. Surrendering can feel safer since you’re guaranteed to keep half your bet, but statistically speaking you are better off making it a rule to always Go to War. You should also try to track the Aces in the game; they’re the highest-value cards so if you get one you can only win or tie the round. With 6 decks going there are 24 Aces in play, so if none have come up in a while you know there is a good chance one could. This is risky, but it can be incredibly rewarding. It just depends how lucky you’re feeling!
