4 Hand Deuces and Joker Video Poker

Video Poker has proven to be one of the most popular game categories at online and offline casinos, and the selection that we have for you at Mummys Gold is, as you’d expect, among the best in the world.

The variations of the game all have subtle differences between them, and understanding one leads to insights in them all. There are also not-so-subtle differences in the amount of hands that a game features, such as in , which can take the action and thrills to a whole new level.

Basic Deuces and Joker Play

Before moving on to the 4 Hand version, it’s important to understand how Deuces and Joker Video Poker actually works. It follows the same basic structure and objectives as all Video Poker games do, with the point being to build the best hand of 5 cards that you can.

To start with, you can bet up to 5 coins on each hand, and will then be dealt 5 cards. You’re allowed to keep or exchange as many as you want to, in one turn, and your payout is calculated according to the final cards in your hand. The amount that you bet in the first place is also factored in.

The key difference in Deuces and Joker Video Poker is that there is a Joker in the deck. The 4 Deuces and the Joker are Wild and can stand in for any other cards to complete paying combinations, while the highest-paying hand is made up of the Deuces and the Joker card. This pays out the most, but will only pay out if you’ve bet the maximum amount when you land it.

Paying combinations in Deuces and Joker start with 3 of a Kind. They’re listed below from the highest-ranking hand to the lowest:

  • 4 Deuces and a Joker
  • Natural Royal Flush
  • Four Deuces
  • Wild Royal Flush
  • 5 of a Kind
  • Straight Flush
  • 4 of a Kind
  • Full House
  • Flush
  • Straight
  • 3 of a Kind

4 Hand Deuces and Joker

In the 4 Hand version of the game you can bet the same amount on 4 different hands, and stand to win and get paid out on all of them. You’re betting more, but your chances of winning something are much higher.

You’ll see the 4 hands that you are playing with arranged on the screen with 1 more hand below it. This bottom-most hand is the one you use to set which cards you want to exchange. When everything is set, just click Deal and watch the winnings roll in!
