Online Roulette Bets Explained

One of the best ways to get the most out of playing online Roulette with us is to find out about the different bets you can put on the table. Many players start off by placing the more basic bets, and then stick with them because the other bets can appear confusing.

They’re actually quite easy to understand, and once you know what they involve, you can start using them to your advantage.

Roulette Outside Bets

Roulette Outside bets have a wider scope than Inside bets, and offer better odds. Every Outside bet has a near 50 per cent chance of being a winning bet.

The colour bets are either Red or Black. If the ball lands in a red pocket, Red bets win, and vice versa.

Among the Outside bets based on groups of numbers are Odd or Even numbers to win, betting on a group of Low numbers, which include those between one and 18, or betting on High numbers, which are those between 19 and 36.

Column bets are also Outside bets, and are placed on one of three columns of numbers on the table. There are three different Dozens bets that can be placed. The Dozens are three sets of 12 numbers each.

Roulette Inside Bets

Roulette Inside bets are placed either on specific numbers or on more complex number groups. They offer bigger payouts than Outside bets, but are notoriously tricky to land.

Straight Up bets are placed on specific numbers, Street bets are placed on numbers within a row of three numbers, and Line bets are placed on two rows containing three numbers each. Split bets are placed on the line that separates two numbers on the table, so if the ball lands in either number’s pocket, your bet wins.

Corner bets are won if the ball lands in one of four pockets on the wheel that corresponds with four corners on the grid.

Roulette Call Bets

Some versions of European and French online Roulette feature Call bets. Those placed on the wheel numbers nearest zero are Voisins du Zero, and bets placed on numbers between 27 and 33 are Tiers du Cylindre.

Another popular Call bet is Orphelins, which is placed on the numbers not included in the Voisins du Zero and Tiers du Cylindre bets.

There are, of course, other bets you could place, but these are a great way to start exploring the different bets available to you when playing online Roulette with us.
