Mummys Gold's Joker Poker

Joker Poker is also sometimes known as Joker Wild, and is a video poker variation of Jacks or Better, with the Joker acting as the Wild. This means that you are able to use the Joker to stand in for any other card of the deck in order to make up a winning hand.

Thanks to the fact that the game includes a Joker, you will be playing this game with a 53-card deck rather than the usual 52-card pack that most other video poker games at online casinos make use of.

How to Play this Video Poker Variation

When you start playing Joker Poker, you will be handed five cards, and you need to hold on to the best ones, the cards that will help you make up the highest-ranked poker hand possible.

You can discard the cards you do not wish to keep, and keep the ones you want by choosing either the button marked Hold displayed below the card in question or by simply clicking the card you want to keep. Make your choice, and then select the Deal button. The dealer will now discard the cards you instructed the game to do away with, and replace these with new cards.

Winning Hands for Joker Poker

The Joker Poker card hands that you will be trying to make up the winning combination with, ranked from lowest to highest, include:

  1. Kings or Better
  2. Two Pairs
  3. Three-of-a-Kind
  4. Straight
  5. Flush
  6. Full House
  7. Four-of-a-Kind
  8. Straight Flush
  9. Joker Royal Flush
  10. Five of a Kind
  11. Natural Royal Flush

Joker Poker Flush

The hands dealt in Joker Poker essentially fall into two categories: those that contain a joker, and those that do not have one.

If you have a joker, hold on to three-of-a-kind or higher, and always hold on to cards making up a Royal Flush. Don’t discard any Four-Card Flush or Four-Card Straight Flush cards if these include an ace, a king, or both, and keep the three cards necessary for a Royal Flush.

If the cards you have been dealt do not include a joker, hold the four cards required for a Royal Flush, and keep any three cards that would make up this hand, or the four cards that a Straight Flush would need. Keep the three cards that would make up a Straight Flush or the four cards for any Flush. Hold on to any four cards that would make up a consecutive Straight.
